The Birth Snug Experience

Your Calm, Connected & Prepared Birth Journey Starts Here

The Birth Snug Experience: an intimate, immersive birth preparation day for couples.

A beautifully curated full-day experience for expectant parents who want more than just information. A dedicated space to step away from the noise, slow down, connect with one another, and prepare for birth and the transition into parenthood with confidence.

Not another antenatal class. Not just hypnobirthing.

The Birth Snug Experience brings together birth physiology, hypnobirthing, biomechanics, practical comfort measures, informed decision-making, partner preparation and trauma-informed care in a warm, intimate and interactive environment.

Through hands-on activities, movement, role-play, birth scenarios and honest conversations, you and your birth partner will not only learn but also integrate your knowledge, practise your skills and feel more connected as a team.

With only 4–6 couples per experience, there is plenty of time for personalised guidance, meaningful discussions and individual questions.

Enjoy nourishing food, refreshments and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere — because preparing for birth should feel supportive, empowering and deeply personal, not clinical or overwhelming.

Even after all the reading, courses, and planning…

  • You still find yourself lying awake wondering:

  • Will I be able to cope with labour?

  • You have attended antenatal classes, but still feel uncertain about what birth will actually be like on the day.

  • You have listened to hypnobirthing tracks, but wonder whether you will remember the tools when birth becomes intense.

  • You want your birth partner to be more than a bystander — but you are not sure they know how to truly support you.

  • You have written a birth plan, but fear that if things change, you might feel lost or unprepared.

  • You want to trust your body and your choices, but there is still a quiet voice asking:

  • “What if I can’t do this?”

  • You are not alone.

  • This is exactly why I created The Birth Snug Experience.

  • Because preparing for birth is not about knowing every answer or creating the perfect plan.

  • It is about understanding your body, practising practical skills, exploring your options and preparing as a team — so you feel more connected, informed and ready for whatever path your birth may take.

A different kind of birth preparation

As a doula, pregnancy yoga teacher, hypnobirthing instructor and mother, I know — both from my own journey and from supporting many families — that preparing for birth is about so much more than learning the stages of labour or understanding hospital procedures.

When I had a doula by my side during my own birth, the experience of feeling heard, supported and truly cared for was transformative. It showed me the power of having someone who helps you feel informed, connected and confident in your own choices.

That is the essence of what I bring to The Birth Snug Experience.

This is a space where evidence-based knowledge meets practical preparation, where birth partners learn how to become active, confident supporters, and where you have the opportunity to practise, ask questions and explore your journey without judgement.

Because real birth preparation is not just about what you know: it is about how prepared you feel when the day arrives.

What You Will Experience During The Day

This immersive day has been designed with passion and care to guide you and your birth partner through the reality of birth and the transition into parenthood: blending birth physiology, hypnobirthing, practical comfort techniques, informed decision-making and postnatal preparation.

Together, we will explore the journey of labour and birth, helping you understand what is happening in your body, how hormones and your nervous system influence birth, and how to work with your body rather than against it.

You will learn practical tools such as breathing, relaxation, visualisation, movement, biomechanics, massage and comfort techniques that can support you through labour. You will also learn how to personalise these tools to be really meaningful to you.

Your birth partner will gain hands-on skills and the confidence to become an active, informed and supportive presence throughout your birth journey.

Because birth rarely follows a perfect plan, we will also explore birth preferences, common interventions, real-life “what-if” scenarios and the B.R.A.I.N. decision-making framework, helping you navigate changes with confidence and make choices that feel right for your family.

And because birth is only the beginning, we will prepare for the golden hour and the fourth trimester — including newborn behaviour, feeding, maternal recovery, emotional wellbeing, boundaries and building your support village.

You will leave with a deeper understanding of birth, practical skills you can actually use, and the confidence that comes from preparing together as a team.

And because your questions and thoughts do not stop when the workshop ends, you will also receive access to a dedicated WhatsApp support group, where you can continue to ask questions, share reflections and receive ongoing guidance in the final weeks leading up to your birth.

With a small community of like-minded couples, nourishing food, honest conversations and continued support, The Birth Snug Experience extends beyond just one day — it is a space to feel truly prepared, connected and supported.

Because birth is not about having the perfect plan — it is about feeling prepared for the journey.

Birth will always hold some unpredictability. While we cannot control every moment, you can prepare yourselves with a deeper understanding of birth, practical tools, evidence-based knowledge and the confidence to navigate whatever path your journey may take.

Within our intentionally small and intimate groups of just 4–6 couples, you will have the space to ask questions, practise skills, explore your options and prepare alongside your birth partner in a warm, supportive environment.

This is not about ticking boxes or simply collecting information. It is about stepping into birth feeling informed, connected, supported and truly prepared.

The Birth Snug Experience is designed for couples in the final months of pregnancy who are ready to dedicate time to preparing for birth and the transition into parenthood. Couples typically attend from around 28–30 weeks of pregnancy onwards, although you are very welcome to join earlier to give yourselves more time to absorb the information and practise the tools.

The Birth Snug Experiences run only a small number of times each year, with limited spaces available for just 4–6 couples per gathering. Upcoming dates will be released soon — join the waiting list to be the first to hear about new dates and secure your place.
