The Birth Snug Workshop

A practical, interactive and personalised birth and postnatal preparation for you and your birth partner.

Prepare for the birth you hope for and build confidence to navigate the unexpected.
What would it feel like to go into birth knowing how your birth partner can support you, what you can ask if plans change, and how you’ll look after each other once your baby is here?
The Birth Snug Workshop is a small, hands-on workshop where you can make time for those conversations and practise together. We’ll bring birth science, hypnobirthing and practical preparation into one room, with space for the real feelings that come with becoming a parent.

Feel more prepared as a team

You may have read the books, listened to birth stories or started thinking about your preferences. Perhaps you’re wondering where to begin. But how will that preparation feel when labour starts? What can your birth partner actually do? And how will you support each other if your plans change? The Birth Snug Experience gives you space to explore those questions through games, demonstrations, practical activities and honest conversation. You’ll have opportunities to try things together, discover your preferences and begin creating your own approach to birth and the early days of parenthood.

What we’ll explore

The birth journey and the “what ifs”

We’ll start with an interactive game that gets you talking about birth and how you might respond when things take an unexpected turn. From there, we’ll explore a few situations shaped by the questions you share when booking. Through short role plays, you’ll practise putting risk information into context, asking useful questions and finding ways your birth partner can speak up for what matters to you.

Hypnobirthing and hands-on support

We’ll use simple visuals to show a little of what’s happening in the body during labour, then get hands-on. Together, you’ll try a few positions, comfort techniques and breathing tools, and explore what kind of words, touch or encouragement you’d welcome from your birth partner.

Preparing for the early weeks with your baby

From the first hours after birth through to the fourth trimester, we’ll make time for the practical and emotional side of coming home with a baby. You’ll begin a postnatal plan that makes room for the highs and lows: how you’ll share the load, find feeding support, manage visits and family expectations, and look after each other as you settle into life with your baby. What you write in your plan can stay between you.

Imagine going into birth without feeling you have to remember every technique, follow a perfect plan or get everything right.

Instead, you understand what helps you feel grounded when things get intense. You know how to find comfort, work with your body and recognise when something isn't helping, so you can try something different.

You feel able to speak up, ask meaningful questions and take an active part in decisions, even when the conversation takes an unexpected turn.

And the person beside you? They're not left guessing. They understand you better, recognise what you might need and have practical ways to support you, whether that's a reassuring touch, a change of position, speaking up or simply giving you space.

You're not relying on everything going to plan. You're learning how to find your way together when it doesn't.

And when your baby arrives, you've already started the conversations that matter about recovery, support, expectations and looking after each other in those early weeks.

That's the real value of The Birth Snug Experience. Not another folder full of information.

A deeper understanding of yourself, a stronger connection with your birth partner and practical tools you can actually draw on when it matters most.

A little about me, Kinga

I'm a pregnancy yoga teacher, hypnobirthing practitioner, doula and mum, bringing together evidence-based birth education, holistic wellbeing and real-life experience.
Having experienced the value of doula support during my own birth, I know how much difference it can make to feel heard, understood and genuinely supported.
My approach goes beyond teaching techniques. I create space for you to explore, question, practise and connect, because birth preparation should be as individual as the people experiencing it.
A little science, a little soul, plenty of practical discovery, and absolutely no pressure to have the perfect birth.

Bring your birth partner for four hours of practical preparation for birth and the weeks that follow.

We’ll start with an interactive birth journey game and explore a few real-life “what ifs”: what if a recommendation takes you by surprise, or you need more information before making a decision?

Through short role plays, you’ll practise putting risks into context, asking useful questions and finding ways for your birth partner to speak up for what matters to you.

Then we’ll move into hypnobirthing and hands-on practice, so you can try out ways to support each other during labour.

We’ll give postnatal preparation its own space. Together, you’ll start forming a plan that makes room for the highs and lows of the early weeks: how you’ll share the load, ask for help, manage visits and family expectations, and look after your relationship as you adjust to life with a baby.

You’ll also receive resources to use together at home, including a digital workbook and hypnobirthing recordings. They’ll help you keep the conversation going and go a little deeper into what matters to you both.

When: Sunday 6 December 2026, 10am–2pm
Where: The Wellbeing Space, Macclesfield

Price: £95 for you and your chosen birth partner.
(If you’d like to bring a second birth partner, their place is £25, subject to availability. Please get in touch before booking.)

Drinks and light snacks are included for the lunch break (approx. 30 min). You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch if you’d prefer something more substantial.
